Cosin Solar Technology Co., Ltd. (“Cosin Solar”), previously named Zhejiang Supcon Solar Technology Co., Ltd., was founded in 2010. As one of the reliable technology providers for Molten Salt Tower CSP Plant, Cosin Solar has been focusing on the R&D, equipment and engineering of Tower CSP and Molten Salt Energy Storage technology, with an aim to use advanced and efficient CSP technology to provide high-quality and low-cost clean energy.
Through years of dedication in CSP R&D and project development, Cosin Solar mastered integrated molten salt tower CSP technologies and established a complete domestic manufacturing & supply chain of CSP core equipment in China. In addition, Cosin Solar developed a set of high-temperature MSES solutions and IPs in system engineering, core equipment R&D and supply, construction management, CSU, O&M and etc. It can also produce the MSES equipment in large-scale.

The construction of Hangzhou Tower CSP pilot project was started, and the pilot project was completed and successfully produced steam in the same year, laying the foundation for the large-scale pilot test.

SUPCON SOLAR Delingha 10MW Tower CSP Plant was synchronized to the grid, which became the 1st commercialized CSP plant in China.
2014
SUPCON SOLAR Delingha 10MW Tower CSP Plant became China's 1st CSP plant entitled to feed-in tariff at 1.2RMB/kWh.
2015
MS experimental device was built in Hangzhou.
2016
The Molten Salt System of SUPCON SOLAR Delingha 10MW Tower CSP Plant was commissioned, which became China's 1st molten salt tower CSP plant.

Construction of the first batch of national demonstration projects.
2018
SUPCON SOLAR Delingha 50MW Molten Salt Tower CSP Plant was synchronized to the grid, which is one of China’s first batch of CSP Demonstration Projects.
2019
POWERCHINA Gonghe 50MW Molten Salt Tower CSP Plant was synchronized to the grid, which is one of China’s first batch of CSP Demonstration Projects. Cosin Solar is the technology and equipment provider of the solar island and is also awarded with commissioning service for the whole plant and subsystems.

With the extension of technology application as the traction to expand the business field, enter the integrated energy service field with MSES and intelligent PV tracker business field.

Completed the joint-stock transformation and officially changed its name to "Cosin Solar Technology Co.,Ltd.".

Actively participate in the construction of the PV+CSP+Wind hybrid projects, the self-developed Jinta ZhongGuang Solar “100MW CSP + 600MW PV” Project started construction, the project is the second batch of large-scale scenic base projects focusing on deserts, Gobi and deserts.

SUPCON SOLAR Delingha 50MW Molten Salt Tower CSP Plant annual cumulative actual power generation exceeded the annual design value, becoming the first Molten Salt Tower CSP Plant in China of which the annual actual power generation exceeded its designed target.

The Tower CSP installed capacity of Cosin Solar has reached 1260MW, widely distributed in Qinghai, Gansu, Xinjiang, Jilin and other provinces of China, becoming the world's only Tower CSP technology provider with a track record of over 1GW.
